To make them, cut some flower petals from construction paper. Then, cut a circle for the center. On each flower petal, you can have the kids write one thing that they love about themselves.

In the circle, ask them to write their names. Afterward, glue the petals and the center on the paper plate. Then, glue the straw at the back of the plate. You may also cut two leaves to attach to the straw.

This craft is the perfect Valentine’s day activity for the kids! They can display their finished work in their room or in the classroom for everyone to see. You may also ask the kids to give their finished work to someone they love or appreciate.

It’s simple to make so it’s going to be easy and enjoyable. First, glue seven popsicle sticks next to each other. Put two popsicle sticks across to secure them in place. 

Let it dry for a bit before painting. Once it’s dry, paint it with any color and however, you like. 

Then, cut a matching colored cardstock paper to go as a handle on the side of the mug. When everything is assembled and dry, you can now start decorating it!

Fold the sides about 3 inches on both sides along the wide edge and staple them together, forming a tunnel shape. Close one side and add a cute mailbox handle.

Now all that’s left is adding the little love notes using craft sticks. You can write small, simple tasks on the back of the sticks.
